Lawrence Jones currently serves as co-host of FOX News Channel’s FOX & Friends (weekdays, 6–9 AM/ET), a role he assumed in 2023. Previously, Jones hosted Lawrence Jones Cross Country, where he spotlighted newsmakers from across the political and cultural spectrum and examined the issues most impacting Americans nationwide.
Since joining FOX News Media in 2018, Jones has become known for his signature storytelling and “man-on-the-street” reporting, focusing on how major national issues affect local communities. His reporting frequently appears on Sean Hannity’s top-rated primetime program. In May 2021, he was named enterprise reporter for the FOX & Friends franchise and has regularly filled in as guest host on both the weekday and weekend editions of the program. Throughout 2021, Jones also served as a rotating host of FOX News Primetime at 7 PM/ET.
Jones has interviewed major political and cultural figures across the ideological spectrum, including President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Wes Moore, and Martin Luther King III. During the 2024 election cycle, Jones contributed extensively to the network’s political coverage, reporting from both the Republican and Democratic National Conventions and traveling throughout key battleground states for the popular “Breakfast with Friends” series. On Inauguration Day 2025, he contributed live coverage from Washington, D.C., providing commentary as President Trump and Vice President Vance were sworn into office. Jones also contributed to the network’s extensive reporting following the attempted assassination of President Trump.
Jones has consistently pursued hard-hitting and often untold stories. In 2022, he reported live from Uvalde following the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School that killed 19 children and two adults, and also covered the Idaho college student murders that same year. In the summer of 2020, he hosted the one-hour primetime special One Nation, examining race relations through conversations with civil rights activists, law enforcement officials, and religious leaders. Among the most notable interviews from that period were emotional conversations with the family of Davell Gardner Jr., the one-year-old boy killed by a stray bullet in Brooklyn, New York, and the family of Natalia Wallace, the seven-year-old Chicago girl killed in a Fourth of July drive-by shooting. Later that year, Jones conducted an in-depth interview for FOX Nation with Bubba Wallace discussing his racing career and activism surrounding the Black Lives Matter movement.
n 2016, Jones secured an exclusive interview with the parents of Micah Johnson, the gunman responsible for the deadliest police ambush in American history. After declining all other media requests, the family personally reached out to Jones for the interview.
A native of Garland, Jones attended the University of North Texas, where he studied criminal justice.
